EPIC Energy Services

Original Design
The client reached out with the desire to redesign their company logo(seen left). They wanted a logo to represent all divisions of their company.
Brand Analysis

After viewing the company’s website, brochure, and notes from the client meeting,  I determined the “feel” of the brand. I used this research to create a moodboard for the brand for the development of the logo redesign.

Sketching

A series of handsketches from the early stages of development. The client expressed their desire to keep the gas flame when creating the new design but with the addition of a sun to represent their new involvement in the solar field.

Digital Development

A series of digital sketches from the development of the logo. There were several rounds of drafts before the final version was reached.

Primary Logo

Final version of the brand’s primary logo after the development stage was completed.

Secondary Logo

Final version of the brand’s secondary logo after the development stage was completed.

Sub Mark

Used in both versions of the company’s logo. Can also be used solo as an additional identifier of the brand.

Typography

Fonts to be used on both print and digital media for a cohesive brand look. Originally, the company used Clarendon Extra Bold and Arial Regular in their logo. Early on, the client expressed their desire for a “cleaner, refreshed look.” With that in mind, the new logo contains the san serif font Roboto Condensed in both bold and regular.

Color Palette

The blue and red are the primary color palette with the grays and yellow serving as secondary and accent colors.

Business Card

Mockup of the redesigned business cards using the new company logo.

Apparel

Mockup of the company’s primary and secondary logo on a t-shirt and baseball cap.
